In the history of cricket, until yesterday, only 4 top rank cricket batsman had hit every pitch in an over (4, 6, or 8 deliveries from the same bowler--like baseball pitches--6 in modern times)  for cricket's "home run" (a ball hit over the boundary on the fly--an automatic SIX runs--they don't trot them like in baseball, they just get ready to face the next delivery). They were (links are to videos of the achievement) Gary Sobers, Herschel Gibbs, Yuvraj Singhand (note the analyst on the commentary of Yuvraj's achievement--Ravi Shastri--I couldn't find video of his 6 sixes). Note: the link to Yuvraj's achievement was incorrect. It has been corrected.

Now there are 5. Keiron Pollard, in the first T20 match of a series against Sri Lanka (20 overs--120 "pitches" per side), hit 6 SIXES off Akila Dananjaya (who later got him out as one of 3 wickets [outs] in 3 deliveries [cricket's "hat trick", another extremely rare feat in the sport]).

Note that of all 5 times only Sobers' came in a traditional (long form, or Test--4 or 5 day) cricket match. The others came in shortened forms of the game (1 day or 3 hours) where the risk of popping up trying to hit a home run can be worth the reward (it never is in traditional cricket). Sobers was the best all around player in the history of the game. In addition to his fantastic hitting, (averaged almost 58 runs scored per "at bat"--9th highest since 1877), he bowled (pitched) 3 different styles (left arm "fast-medium" and left arm "spin"--slow bowling, both wrist and finger). No one in cricket today has more than one style. His highest score in an "at bat" was 365 in 1958, a record which stood for 36 years. He had 26 100's in 160 "at bats", 9th highest percentage in history.  He was a great close in fielder (where most of cricket's outs are made--a bowler can only bowl 6 balls at once; when another bowler is bowling the next 6, the first bowler plays in the field--there are no substitutions--except for concussion--in the game). 109 Test Match catches in 93 matches (More than one catch per match by a non-wicket keeper--catcher--is a rare achievement. He was also Captain of the West Indies team (a player manager) for 10 years.
