This is the oldest Badminton Tournament in the world, beginning in 1898 and interrupted only during the two World Wars. It is now a BWF Premier Superseries event.

has its roots one of the earliest Russian Film Studios, that of Alexander Konzhonkov, established before the First World War. Eventually it coalesced into Mosfilms. It is today the leading TV and Film production company in Russia.
It has for some time put a sizable number of its films on the Internet and made them available for free viewing. A large percentage of those do not contain English subtitles, but some do. The fascinating and eventful history of the monastic state of the Teutonic Knights, founded in 1224 in northern Poland, which will become the Duchy of Prussia. Today, we remember the Teutonic Order above all in its military facet: that of the Crusader Knights, bloodthirsty missionaries who went to war in the Holy Land. Less is known about its role in the founding of a monastic state, known since the 13th century as the State of the Teutonic Order. While the Pope and Emperor Frederick II, advised by the influential Hermann von Salza, Grand Master of the Order, gave them the goal of converting pagan peoples in the Baltic region, the armed monks freed themselves of their initial mission after the defeat in Palestine: they founded a powerful state, which will subjugate neighboring Poland and Lithuania for two centuries. From the Vistula to the Baltic Sea, the Knights of the Black Cross built castles and towns, and established their headquarters in the fortress of Marienburg, in present-day Poland.
