One way for an unfamiliar or new American baseball fan to experience Major League Baseball is through the one free game MLB.com offers almost day of the season. In this way, such fans can experience everything the Major Leagues have to offer. MLB.com REQUIRES FREE REGISTRATION. The games are clearly marked on its schedule page. Blackout rules apply, but for blacked out video the audio broadcast may be available. Simply check the MLB scores page and look for "Free game of the day", which will be at the top right of the box that links to each game. Games are usually available via either team's broadcast
MLB Youtube will also be providing an additional 21 free games this year. See the Youtube Playlist for more details. These games are available free of charge live and on demand WITHOUT ANY REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

This new release of fifteen pieces distils and expands upon the composer’s concepts of time, past and present, perceived through music. It comprises two new works – ‘Opus 56’ for solo piano and ‘Constellation No. 2’ for piano, cello and electronics – as well as new recordings of a selection of tracks from O’Halloran’s solo albums, including four new string arrangements. The first taste of Silfur is ‘Opus 18’, along with this beautiful live performance video, shot at Reykjavík’s Fríkirkjan church by director Blair Alexander."

This looks like just another athlete interview on the upcoming expectations for a new season. The interview is with Alastair Cook, who will be playing in the 1st Class (4-day cricket) County Cricket competition for Essex County this year. County cricket pre-dates International Test cricket by about 13 years in England. It has deep roots, but can be compared to AAA Baseball in the United States in terms of talent.
Cook played 161 International Test Matches for England (most of any player in English history), made 33 International Centuries (100+ runs scored in an "at bat", 9th on the World All Time List), and was Captain of the English Team (player manager) in 59 Test Matches (most of any English Captain). He retired from International Test Cricket in 2018, going out with a 100.

Now, he is again playing for the County he started at so many years ago. This is unfathomable to the American baseball fan, but it is not uncommon in cricket. Less uncommon than it used to be, but not uncommon. Essex won the County Championship in 2019. Cook scored one 100, led the team in average (46.65 runs per innings--at bats), in runs (913), and tied for the team lead in non-wicket keeper catches. In the 2020 truncated competition, he scored 172 facing 289 deliveries (video highlights of Day 3, during which he batted most of the day) . He had 26 fours an batted for 6 hours and 23 minutes. His innings helped his team take a 1st innings lead in a match that was drawn, giving Essex its second County Championship in succession. It will be interesting to follow his progress this year. He seems "pumped" about the upcoming campaign. He is now 36 years old.

Cuban Baseball League World Series--Serie Nacional de Beisbol
The Cuban Serie Nacional de Beisbol recently completed its 2020-2021 season with a Final Series. The two finalists were Matanzas Cocodrilos (West) and Granma Alazanes (East). Their 6 game series, won by Granma, 4-2, was live streamed in its entirety by World Baseball Softball Confederation's Gametime Sport service. Each game as well as highlights can be accessed from the Gametime Sport Serie Nacional de Beisbol Youtube Playlist (note--the latest uploads are at the BOTTOM of the list.
